Disc 1=====Target Video, 1980 (1)01 - Blaine Introa 28 second snippet with no musical contents - a funny little spoken introduction by BLR in German which was part of the Target Video San Francisco Mabuhay Garden, 4th March, 1979 (1)02 - L'Age d'Or03 - Islands ofLost Souls04 - Clock on the Wall05 - Stand up06 - Plumber with an AK-4707 - 19th Nervous Breakdown08 - No TearsTracks from a concert at the Mabuhay with Greg Langston on drums. A few track names on (1) are wrong, I have chosen the more likely ones. This is Tuxedomoon at their most rocking/punk period. Tracks like "Clock on the Wall" blow everything away. "Touched" on the "Pinheads"-compilation goes in the same vein. Unbelievable that this band produced Half-Mute only 6 months later. Though the quality is quite good, there exists a recording of the entire concert in better quality. Note: 19th Nervous Breakdown is not the version released on "Can you Hear me?".San Francisco City Disco, 27th April, 1980 (1)08 - Urban Leisure Pt. 409 - La Belle et la BeteTracks from the Residents' Diskomo-Release party, the track name of 9 is again made up by booleggers.Somewhere, most likely in 1980 (2)11 - East12 - JinxThe information about the tracks on (2) is spare to non-existent (which perfectly goes with the horrible sound quality on this boot.) East/Jinx are the typical opening tracks on TMs 1980s show. You can definetly hear some americans in the crowd, so I assume its Spring 1980 in the US, but who knows. This stands in absolute contrast to ...Eindhoven, 3rd October, 1980 (3) tracks 13-15 and (4) track 1613 - Desire14 - (Special Treatment for the) Family Man15 - What Use?16 - In HeavenExcellent soundboard or fm-recordings of one of their first European shows, shortly after the recording of Desire. This version of "Desire" is one of my personal favourites and blows every other version away (quality- and performance-wise). The version can be also found on (4). "In Heaven" is from (4) where it is stated as from "Amsterdam 1980", but there was no show in Amsterdam around this time and (4) also states that "Desire" is from Amsterdam; put everything together I declare this from Eindhoven too.Lyon, Entpe Club, 11th February, 1982 (4)17 - WeihnachtsrapWe skip 81, which is covered by "Darkness" and get this track, which is definitly not my favourite TM-track and the tongue in cheek German works better on 19th Nervous Breakdown or Lili Marlene. The rather poor recording doesn't help either.Europe, most likely early 1982 (2)18 - BlindAnother track from (2) with date only guessed - "Blind" is another one of my lesser favourite TM-tracks - the recording is poor too.Disc 2=====Modena, 29th July, 1982 (4)01 - Ghost Sonata ExcerptContains elements of Music#2 and other pieces, which are not found on the official CD. Mistakenly labeled as "Suite allemande bleu" by the bootleggers.Deen Haag, Paard van Troje Club, 16th October, 1982 (4)02 - The Cage03 - Everything you want04 - What Use?Again three tracks from (4). Quality is ok.London, The Venue, 9th March 1982 (2)05 - LumiereAnother, nearly unlistenable track from (2). This is a previously unreleased track which sounds pretty promising. (2) gives "El mesanjero Divino' as title.Somewhere in Europe, most likely in 1983 (2)06 - In a Manner of Speaking07 - Hugging the Earth08 - EgyptAgain, lofi from (2) but rather good tracks. Unknown dates and places, most likely from '83.Frankfurt, Batschkapp, 11th April, 1984 (3)09 - (Special Treatment for the) Family Man10 - In the Name of Talent (Italian Western Two) 11 - St. JohnTo end this compilation on a high note, these are three exellent sounding recordings from (3).Blaine Soundcheck, 1984 (1)12 - Just a Gigolo The final track of (1) and the final track of this compilation from a BLR-solo show.
